We would highly recommend PLCTJC Construction and Development LLC to anyone in New Hampshire who is considering building a house or having some remodeling done. Tom Carlson's quality construction, expert craftsmanship and great prices are just some of the reasons. We were lucky enough to meet Tom just by chance when we were looking for a contractor to build us a vacation home. From our first meeting, we felt Tom was an honest, dependable person. Because we live in California and currently only summer in New Hampshire, Tom built our house, a modular 1 1/2 story cape with a finished second floor, through emails. Unfortunately we were not able to be there through the whole process, but Tom was kind enough to send us pictures at various stages throughout the construction. When we saw the finished product, we were elated! We had a house built 3,000 miles away from where we live and had NO problems! That was 5 years ago and since then we have had Tom put a farmers porch on the front of the house. Believe it or not, we found the porch we wanted on a house as we were driving to the beach one day and took some pictures of it to give to Tom. We had to get back to California, so once again Tom constructed the farmers porch without us there. He sent us pictures again to let us see the progress and it turned out exactly how we wanted it to. We have been lucky enough to have Tom for a contractor and even luckier to have him and his wife Pauline for good friends and neighbors.

...many years ago [I was] introduced...to you as a local builder with a good reputation and a skilled tradesman. We were able to see a few projects that you had worked on and were suitably impressed. We began discussing with you our vision of what we wanted to build on our property to replace the house that was in need of significant major repairs. You were very helpful in so many ways. I recall that we were deciding the best location for the front door based on the topography of the land. You had some good ideas about that. We discussed the access to the basement level of the house as well as the best location for that door. Again you were very helpful. I am sure there were some things we did not agree upon, but you very willingly went along with whatever our idea was and saw it through. We wanted to have a large wall of stone on one end of the living room. You found the best stone mason and brought him over to see us. We would never have found him if it were not for you, Tom. Would we have ever had such a magnificent wall without him? NO! You always had the right people for the parts of the job that you could not do. You arranged for them to come and do their part so that you could go on with the completion of the house. You worked with me faithfully as we attempted to figure out how to make a curved wall at the top of the stairs. I envisioned it and you built it. The same thing was true with finishing the stairs after I found the perfect railings. There are probably twenty more such incidents that don't come to mind right this minute ...but were equally as important in the end result - which was a wonderful house with so many special creative ideas incorporated into it. As important as building us such a wonderful house is, equally important is the care that you have taken of it all these many years...You have helped me in countless ways. I have never worried about the house knowing that you were there to look after things for me... We have become good friends and have shared much more than I can possibly express...We genuinely care about each other and each other's well being. If I don't tell you that often enough, then shame on me. Thanks for all you have done and continue to do.
